In partnership for the trials with the Ligue 1 club Nîmes Olympique and their manager responsible for the maintenance of the lawn of the Costières stadium as well as the training ground of the Bastide, Pierre Habourdin from Méditerranée Sport Environnement, the company Alma IDF has developed two shading systems : an adiabatic cooling system and a ventilation system.
Adiabatic cooling is a method of air cooling based on the evaporation of water. The air absorbed by the box passes through humidified media (filters) which causes the air to be refreshed. The hotter and drier the air, the greater the drop in temperature: about -10 ° C compared to the outside temperature.
The static shading system is designed for small areas to be protected (less than 2000 m²), ideal for repair areas. The principle of the static shading system is as follows: use the trolley to set up semi-rigid support spirals, then set up over shade cloths in order to protect the sheet from direct sunlight. .
The dynamic shading system is intended for the entire land, ie +/- 9,000 m². . The principle of the dynamic shading system is as follows: cover the entire ground with shade cloth (80 to 100 gr / m²) and breathe in air in order to keep the canvas in suspension, and therefore , dry out the leaf in order to avoid the proliferation of diseases.
The ventilation system is done using 2 to 4 modules for a complete sweep of the land without having to use a shade cloth. The swept area is approximately 2000 m² per module, the latter can be coupled with the adiabatic system, or with the heating system for frost protection.
